週末に、The Wall Street Journalのバフェットさんの独占インタビューの記事を見つけて、あらためて感慨にひたってました。
引退発表には本当に驚きましたが、もう94歳になられるんですよね！
でも、90を過ぎるまで老いを感じたことがなかったというのには、もっと驚かされました。
バフェットさんは日本でもオマハの賢人としてよく知られていますし、影響力も絶大で、以前日本株がにわかに注目されて値を上げたことについて、「これってバフェットさんのおかげだよね～！」と日本株に投資しているアメリカ人のお友だちと話して盛り上がったこともありました。
引退といってもCEOを後任に譲るだけで、引き続きバークシャー・ハサウェイには留まるとのことです。「マーケットがパニックを起こして皆が動揺するようなときには、私は役に立つだろう」とご本人もおっしゃっていますが、まさにバフェットさんがいるだけで安心感につながると言っても過言ではないぐらい、偉大な存在なので、バフェットさんにはいつまでも現役でいてもらいたいと願っています。🍀
先週のマーケットの引け後に、米国債がトリプルAの格付けから引き下げられたというニュースがありましたが、それを受けて今日はどうなるのかな？って気になりますね。ちょっと円高で始まってるみたいですが。。

Over the weekend, I came across an exclusive interview article with Mr. Buffett in The Wall Street Journal, and it made me feel quite emotional once again.
His retirement announcement was truly surprising, but he's already 94 years old! However, I was even more astonished to hear that he hadn't felt old until after turning 90.
Mr. Buffett is well-known in Japan as the "Oracle of Omaha," and his influence is immense. I even remember getting excited with my American friend who invests in Japanese stocks, saying, "This surge in Japanese stock prices must be because of Buffett!" when Japanese stocks suddenly gained attention and their value increased.
Even though he's retiring, it's just him stepping down as CEO, and he will continue to stay with Berkshire Hathaway. He himself has said, "I'll be useful here if there‘s a panic in the market because I don't get fearful when things go down in price or everybody else gets scared." It's no exaggeration to say that just having Mr. Buffett around brings a sense of security, so I truly hope he stays active for as long as possible.🍀
After the market close last week, there was news that U.S. Treasury bonds were downgraded from their AAA rating, so I'm curious to see what will happen today. It looks like trading has started with a slightly stronger yen though.
I'm still having a lot of fun playing Wizardry Variants Daphne! I welcomed a new girl wizard character into my party, and all the active and reserve members successfully passed the rank promotion exam! Once I level up a bit more, I'm finally going to re-challenge the big boss! lol
