きょうは大安

カレンダーを見たら、きょうは大安しかも一粒万倍日と縁起のいい日で、近くでちょうど用事もあったので、都内の愛宕神社にお参りしてきました。

 

こちらの神社は、いつお参りにいっても人がまばらということはないですね。
私が訪れたのは午後の遅い時間でしたが、もしかしたら午前中からお昼頃にかけてはもっと混んでいたかもしれません。
前にブログの記事で書いた豆芝ちゃんに、お初にお目にかかれるといいなと思っていたのですが、あんまりお外には出ていないらしいです。
たまに社務所の窓から境内を見ている姿を見かけたらラッキーなんだそうですよ。
きょうは会えなかったので、また次回に期待したいです笑

Today is a Lucky Day

 

​I checked the calendar and saw that today was a very auspicious day—Taian (the most auspicious day in the Rokuyō calendar) and an Ichiryū Manbai Bi (a day on which a single seed sown yields 10,000 grains). Since I had an errand nearby, I decided to visit Atago Shrine in Tokyo.

​This shrine is never empty, no matter when you visit. I stopped by late in the afternoon, but it might have been even more crowded from the morning until around noon.

​I was hoping to finally see the Mame Shiba Inu (a small breed of Shiba Inu) that I wrote about in a previous blog post, but it seems he doesn't go outside much. I heard that you're lucky if you happen to spot him looking out at the grounds from the shrine office window.

​I didn't get to see him today, so I'll keep my fingers crossed for next time! 😊

映画『国宝』

映画『国宝』をようやく観てきました！
まだ上映していてよかったです笑

この作品を私なりにひとことで言い表すなら、「壮絶」でしょうか。

普段私たちはきれいなものしか見ていないし、知らないんだなってあらためて思いました。
それでも私は、いつまでもきれいなものだけを見ていたいです。

吉沢亮くんと横浜流星くんは若手ですけど、さすが大河ドラマで主役経験があるだけあって、観ていてすごく安心感がありました。

歌舞伎の舞台の緊張感や美しさは、やっぱり大きなスクリーンと迫力ある音響でしか十分に感じられないので、これは絶対に映画館で観るべき映画ですね！👍👍

The Movie Kokuho (National Treasure)

​I finally went to see the movie Kokuho! I'm so glad it was still showing.😊

​If I were to sum up this work in a single word, I'd have to say it was "intense".

​It made me realize once again that we usually only see, and know of, the beautiful things in art and performance. Even so, I still want to keep looking at only the beautiful things forever.

Ryo Yoshizawa and Ryusei Yokohama are young actors, but having both starred in Taiga historical dramas, their performances were incredibly solid, which allowed me to easily immerse myself in the story.

​The palpable intensity and focus and beauty of the Kabuki stage simply cannot be fully experienced without the big screen and powerful sound, so this is definitely a movie that must be seen in a theater!👍👍

Wizardry Variants Daphne POP UP SHOP

オープンすると聞いて気になっていた、Wizardry Variants Daphne 1st anniversary POP UP SHOPに行ってきました！

どれぐらい盛り上がってるのかな～と、有楽町マルイまで覘きにいってみたのですが、時間帯のせいもあってかお客さんは私だけでした。。
お店の人によると、初日は結構混みあっていたそうです。
（ちなみに、別フロアのミッフィーのポップアップショップは大勢のお客さんで賑わってました笑）

残念ながらゲームの人気ぶりは実感できずじまいでしたけど、自分でも意外なほどひさびさにハマってしまった記念に何かグッズがほしいなと思っていたので、パーティの仲間のステッカーとポストカードを買っちゃいました。

ところで、いままでパーティの仲間のひとりが「エルフと人間の混血なんて不幸の種だ」と、たまに愚痴をこぼしていたのですが、最近そのひとり言に対して別のメンバーが「もう、何言ってるの♡」と反応しているのをはじめて聞きました。
えっ、仲間同士で会話もするんだ～と驚いたのもつかの間、その後の忍者ボス戦で、反応したメンバーが開戦直後に2回立て続けの即死攻撃で倒れてしまって、ちょっとかわいそう。。なことがありました笑

Wizardry Variants Daphne POP UP SHOP

I went to the Wizardry Variants Daphne 1st anniversary POP UP SHOP, which I was curious about ever since I heard it was opening!

I popped over to Yurakucho Marui just to see how popular it was, but perhaps due to the time of day, I was the only customer. The staff told me that the first day was quite crowded. (For context, the Miffy pop-up shop on a different floor was packed with people!😄)

While I couldn't really gauge the game's popularity, I wanted some merchandise to commemorate a game I've gotten surprisingly hooked on after so long, so I bought stickers of my party members and a set of postcards .

By the way, one of my party members occasionally used to grumble, "A half-elf is just a seed of misfortune." I recently heard, for the first time, another member respond to that muttering with, "Oh, what are you talking about? ♡" I was briefly surprised that the party members actually talk to each other, but my surprise turned to a bit of pity when that very responsive member was defeated by two consecutive instant-death attacks right at the start of the ninja boss battle that followed.😮

きょうはご祝儀相場

自民党の総裁選挙で高市さんが選ばれて、日本株は大幅高！
先週、高市さん関連株は迷った末に売っちゃってたので、きょうの急騰に乗れなくて残念でした。。💦
高市さんが絶対勝つ～！って信じて買ってガチホしてた方、おめでとうございます！🎉
でも、金曜日に買ってた分がおかげさまで上がってくれて、利益が出たのでよかったです笑
マーケットは高市新総裁の就任を歓迎、私も高市さんが選ばれたらいいなと思ってたのでうれしいです。
これからも日本株が堅調で、日本経済も良くなってくれれば言うことなしですね笑

​Today's a "Congratulatory Market"

 

​Japanese stocks soared following Ms. Takaichi's win in the LDP presidential election!

I'm bummed because I ended up selling my Takaichi-related stocks last week after a lot of hesitation, so I completely missed out on today's sharp rise.💦

Congratulations to those who firmly held on ("gachiho") because they were certain Ms. Takaichi would be victorious!🎉

Still, the shares I bought on Friday rose, thankfully, and I made a profit, so it was all good.😊

The market welcomed the new President Takaichi's inauguration, and I'm happy because I was also hoping she would be chosen.

It would be absolutely perfect if Japanese stocks remain strong and the Japanese economy also improves from here on out.😄

『うさぎっしり事典』

つい数日前、この『うさぎっしり事典』の感想を載せているはてなブロガーさんの記事を見かけて、私も読みたくなってAmazonで即買いしました笑

本のタイトルどおり、古代から人の営みのそばにいたうさぎの神話や伝説、美術や言葉のなかのうさぎなど、うさぎについてあれこれのお話がぎっしり詰まってます。
うさぎ好きなら読んで、さもありなん笑といちいち納得して悦に入ること間違いなしです。
私たちに寄り添ってくれるうさぎたちの姿を、優しいタッチで描いたイラストも愛らしくて癒されます。

物心ついた頃からずっとうさぎを飼っていて（いまは飼っていないですが）、読み終わった後には本の内容とともにうさぎさんたちとの思い出が次々浮かんできて、いつまでも余韻に浸っていたくなりました。
私にとっては、うさぎにまつわるキラキラしたエピソードがたくさん入った、大切にしたい宝石箱のような本になりそうです。

うさぎさんへの愛が深まる、うさぎ好きなら必読の一冊ですね。

本にはすでに知っていたことも、知らなかったことも書いてありましたが、9月の第4土曜日は「国際うさぎの日🐰」ってはじめて知りました（今日！）
ちょうどいいタイミングで読めてよかったです😊

"The Illustrated Encyclopedia of Rabbits"

​Just a few days ago, I saw a blog post on Hatena from someone sharing their thoughts on "The Illustrated Encyclopedia of Rabbits," and it instantly made me want to read it, so I bought it right away on Amazon.😄

​True to its title, the book is packed with all sorts of fascinating tales about rabbits: their myths and legends dating back to ancient times when they lived alongside human civilization, as well as their presence in art and language. Any rabbit lover who reads this will nod in agreement and be delighted by how spot-on everything is.😏 The illustrations, which depict rabbits nestled close to us with a gentle touch, are also so lovely and soothing.

​I've been raising rabbits since I was a child (though I don't have any now). After finishing the book, the contents, along with memories of my rabbits, kept popping up one after another, and I just wanted to bask in the afterglow forever. For me, this book is like a cherished jewelry box filled with glittering episodes related to rabbits.

​It's truly a must-read for any rabbit enthusiast; it just deepens your love for these wonderful animals.

​The book contained both things I already knew and things I didn't, but I was surprised to learn that the fourth Saturday of September is "International Rabbit Day🐰" (which is today!). I'm so glad I read it at just the right time.😊

9月15日は何の日？

「ウィザードリィの日」だそうです✨
朝、ゲーム内の私書箱を見てみたら、記念のプレゼント（915個）が届いていました。　
なんと、もうシリーズが誕生してから44年になるゲームなんですね。
そして、シリーズ最新版の『Wizardry Variants Daphne』も、リリースからまもなく1周年とのことで、これからさまざまなイベントやグッズの販売などが予定されているとか。
とくに周りでプレイしている人がいないので、どれぐらい盛り上がっているのかいまいちよくわからないですが笑
私自身は、ほぼ毎日ちょっとずつプレイして、メインのパーティの仲間全員がレベル60近くになってきました。
この前ようやくグアルダ城塞というダンジョンに辿り着いたんですが、敵が強くて。。
唯一メンバーの中で伝説の冒険者でないキャラクターが、集中クリティカル攻撃を受けてメンタル０で死んでしまったときは、ゲームをしていてはじめて涙がポロポロ出てきちゃいました。
その後、無事に生き返ってくれたのでやれやれでしたけど。。
相変わらず、こんな感じでハマっています笑
最近「黒樽亭」という怪しい酒場もオープンしましたし、探索場所が尽きなくて、いまのところ飽きる気配がないですね笑
今後のゲーム内・ゲーム外のイベントが楽しみです😊

​What Day Is September 15th?

​Apparently, it's "Wizardry Day."✨

​When I checked my in-game mailbox this morning, a commemorative gift (915 tokens) had arrived. It's hard to believe this game series has been around for 44 years.

​The latest title, Wizardry Variants Daphne, is also approaching its first anniversary, and it seems various events and merchandise sales are planned. Since I don't know anyone else who plays, I don't really know how popular it is, but I'm having a blast.😄

​I play a little bit every day, and all the members of my main party are approaching level 60. I finally reached a dungeon called Guarda Fortress recently, and the enemies there are so tough. When one of my characters, who is the only non-legendary adventurer in my party, was hit with a barrage of critical attacks and died with 0 sanity, I actually started to cry for the first time while playing a game. Thankfully, he was revived later, so I was relieved.

​I'm still hooked like this.😄 A shady tavern called the "Black Barrel Tavern" also opened recently, and there's no end to the places to explore, so I'm not getting bored anytime soon. I'm looking forward to all the upcoming in-game and real-world events.😊

映画『ヒックとドラゴン』

先週の金曜日、病院の帰りに映画『ヒックとドラゴン』を見てきました！
劇場で映画を観るのはひさしぶりで、『オッペンハイマー』以来です。
『国宝』と迷ったんですけど、昨年神社にお参りしてから龍にすごく興味を引かれるようになって、どう描かれているのか見たかったのでこちらの作品にしました笑
大きなスクリーンで館内の音響も良くて、竜が飛ぶシーンはとにかく迫力ありました！
一般的に東洋の龍は神獣で、西洋の竜は悪の権化とされていますが、作品に出てくるナイトフューリーは顔が丸くて目もクリっとしてなんだかかわいい。。
しかも愛嬌があって懐いてこられたら、私もドラゴンスレイヤーにはなれないです笑
原作は読んだことがないのですが、映画はだいぶ違うお話になっているそうですね。
複雑なストーリー展開などはないものの、ひととき童心に返れる良い作品だなと思いました👍

How to Train Your Dragon

Last Friday, I went to see the movie "How to Train Your Dragon" on my way home from the hospital. It had been a while since I'd seen a movie in a theater—not since "Oppenheimer." I was torn between this and "Kokuhō", but ever since I visited a shrine last year, I've become really interested in dragons. I wanted to see how they were depicted, so I chose this one.😊 The big screen and the great sound system inside the theater made the flying dragon scenes incredibly powerful! Generally, dragons in the East are seen as divine beasts, while those in the West are often seen as the embodiment of evil. But the Night Fury in the movie has a round face and big, round eyes that make it look kind of cute... Plus, if it were friendly and got attached to me, I don't think I could ever be a dragon slayer.😄 I've never read the original book, but I heard the movie's story is quite different. Although the plot isn't very complex, I thought it was a great film that let me feel like a kid again for a while.👍
